Key Note provides market reports for a variety of sectors. The current Chest Agreement offers a 140 market reports package to Further Education. It expires at the end of December and we are now negotiating the new Agreement. We anticipate continuing to provide an updated report package to FE and discount on current listed prices for individual reports for both HE and FE.
A short questionnaire has been sent out to Data Contacts in HE and FE and the feedback from this will be invaluable to us in our negotiations. If you are not a Data Contact or have not received the questionnaire and would like to contribute then please contact Nicola Garwood (Nicola.garwood@eduserv.org.uk). Responses are required by Monday 27 October 2008.
Details of the current agreement are available on the Keynote Agreement Overview

BookData Online is a subscription service from Nielsen. It provides comprehensive bibliographic data for English-language books and other published media. The databases include in-print, forthcoming and out of print titles - basic records, enriched data, including tables of contents, jackets/cover images, price, availability, extensive classifications and descriptive content.
Since Nielsen launched BookData Online last year the service has continued to be enhanced in line with industry developments and customer feedback. A number of new features were released on Tuesday 7 October including:
• Quick Print option – click on the printer icon next to the Help button to print the screen view of any results page.
• New short format for print and email –enabling librarians to provide a reader with basic title details without trade information.
• Hyphenated ISBN-13 – hyphenated ISBN-13 is now displayed on the Full Page View alongside the unhyphenated version. It is also available when exporting records.
• Logout button – this is now more visible to encourage users to log out at the end of each session, therefore reducing the number of times the service reaches its Maximum Concurrent User level which prevents other colleagues from accessing the service.

We’re putting the finishing touches to the pages and will be launching the site in early November – so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements and updates. You’ll read it here first!
